Numerical Analysis of the Beam-Column Resistance Compared to Methods by European Standards

The optimisation of the design method for verification slender steel beam-columns is still a current issue not only from scientific point view, but also practice. Therefore, main objective this paper comparison suitability established approaches, according to European standards and aluminium structures, on basis numerical simulations. Thus, finite element model was validated experimental analysis available in literature. To perform accuracy approaches standards, commercial software program ANSYS used observation resistances beam-columns. resistance european I beams with parallel flanges (IPE) rectangular hollow cross-section (RHS) were investigated four load cases simply supported member pinned-fixed beam column linear bending moment distribution, where governs.
